MIT spends ~1B/y over ~5k researchers (salary+research equipments, etc). That's ~200k/y per researcher, or 0.1% of what top researcher at Meta Superintelligence Lab makes. What causes this massive discrepancy? Many at MSL are recent (2-3y) graduates of MIT/Stanford/etc

What I always needed but didn't know an Excel agent that paints fractal

We release a major update to Shortcut every night. Shortcut is already ~20% better than it was for our Monday launch. There is a clear path to solving anything a human can do on Excel. Some updates below: Here it painted the Mandelbrot set using conditional formatting only.

Just had one of the craziest product experience I’ve ever had. Used shortcut to create a 3yr financial projection for a hedge fund inc sensitivity analysis in ~5 minutes. Did the same task manually(ish) earlier - it’s 100% accurate, 50x faster & added in additional detail I didn’t have the time to add myself. This is going to be used by everyone, everywhere. @nicochristie 👏

Been playing around with Shortcut (instead of eating lunch) & I’m having it build 3 statement models of Tesla and Carvana. It built out a model of Tesla for me & then highlights everything in green at the end to show it’s all pulled correctly. I’ll keep playing around with it later, but looks like a massive part of finance workflow got automated by AI.

This feels like a ChatGPT moment for financial modeling, if you can have Agents model for you, then this changes everything
