You know what's cool... a quadrillion tokens.
We processed almost 1,000,000,000,000,000 tokens last month, more than double the amount from May. 📈

Google is processing 980 trillion+ monthly tokens across our products and APIs (up from 480T in May) 🤯
No slowdown in sight, intelligence is everywhere.

We just discovered the 🔥 COOLEST 🔥 trick in Flow that we have to share:
Instead of wordsmithing the perfect prompt, you can just... draw it. Take the image of your scene, doodle what you'd like on it (through any editing app), and then briefly describe what needs to happen (e.g. "changes happen instantly"). Using Frames to Video, Flow will understand the drawings and incorporate them into the final video.
Try it and show us what you find!

Gaming laid a lot of the foundational tech for the AI advancements today.
@demishassabis had a great quote during @lexfridman's pod where he talks about this.
“In the 90s, all of the most interesting technical advancement were happening in gaming, whether it is AI, graphics, physics engines, hardwares like GPUs were designed for gaming initially.
Everything that was pushing computer forward in the 90s was due to gaming. Interestingly, that was where the forefront of research was going on and it was this incredible fusion with art, graphics, music and the whole new media of storytelling and I love that.”
And I have no idea he worked on Themepark by Bullfrog, one of my favorite games of all time!

Thanks @lexfridman for another super fun & wide-ranging conversation. We talked about the future of video games, the nature of reality, advancing science with AI, the path to AGI… and quite a bit more as usual! Always a blast, already looking forward to next time! 😀

Here's my conversation with @demishassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind, all about the future of AI & AGI, simulating biology & physics, video games, programming, video generation, world models, Gemini 3, scaling laws, compute, P vs NP, complexity, energy (solar & fusion), and much more. This was a fun & fascinating super-technical conversation.
It's here on X in full and is up everywhere else (see comment).

Just got off the earnings call - great quarter and it was our (and my) 40th call as Alphabet.
August will mark 10 years since we announced Alphabet. Been thinking about the incredible growth in our new businesses since then - Cloud, YouTube, Play, Subscriptions etc. To give a sense of progress, in 2015 all of Alphabet’s revenue added up to $75B. YouTube and Cloud alone ended 2024 at an annual run rate of $110B.
