I think where Asmongold is coming from is that a) ID on internet is inevitable and b) better to have one place where the ID is stored than a bunch of insecure websites. But this makes a huge presumption...that Real ID for Internet is inevitable and that you are fooling yourself if you don't see this. Maybe so, but I think we should fight to retain every freedom we currently enjoy. Because once they are gone, they are gone for good long time and maybe forever. We all want to protect kids, that’s why ID laws are named that way, very deliberately. But nobody wants a world where, as an adult, you have to submit ID to the gov to listen to music or post on social media.
