🏛️@IOHK_Charles was honored to accept an invitation from @SenatorTimScott to help lead a roundtable discussion yesterday on Capitol Hill with Members of the Senate Banking Committee and industry experts on digital asset market structure and responsible innovation. @JTelpner, @BTL_Edinburgh's @_LadyChristina_, @MichaelPiwowar, @lesborsai and @teresagoody also participated in the roundtable. We appreciate Chairman Scott's leadership in encouraging productive dialogue between industry leaders and legislators, and advancing key bills, such as the GENIUS Act, that promote innovation and help preserve the United States's leadership in the industry. Tokenomics is the economic engine of Cardano—shaping adoption, participation, and trust. As part of the Cardano Vision program, Input | Output Research has outlined three key research streams under the Tokenomics research area: 1️⃣ Tokenomics design 2️⃣ Rewards & fees 3️⃣ Stablecoins Together, they aim to build a resilient, decentralized, and growth-ready economic foundation. As Paolo Penna explains, the token economy is shaped by validator incentives, the expanding system of partner chains and on-chain governance, and the dynamic feedback loop of ada’s market price. 💡 Cardano tokenomics: design, incentives, and stablecoins In the July Cardano R&D Session hosted by Input | Output Research (IOR) in collaboration with the @IntersectMBO Research Working Group, speakers explored how tokenomics can drive sustainable growth, decentralization, and healthy ecosystem economics. Paolo Penna of IOR presented the Tokenomics research area under the proposed Cardano Vision program, @Cerkoryn presented CIP-50: Rebirth, whilst @manv_sc of the @Cardano_CF emphasized the importance of aligning protocol incentives with sustainable decentralization, and @ElRaulito_cnft of @FluidTokens stressed that stablecoins are essential for real-world and institutional adoption. What if Layer 2s could scale on demand and help boost L1 capacity at the same time? At IOR’s June Cardano R&D session, two powerful new protocols showed what that future could look like. Phillip DiSarro of @AnastasiaLabs shared Midgard, a high-throughput protocol that compresses transactions and rolls them up to Cardano—bringing in thousands of ADA in a single fee-efficient submission. @Quantumplation introduced Gummiworm, a design that scales horizontally by adding new heads as needed and makes it easy to move activity across them.
