Just because you don't take home the work, doesn't mean you can't appreciate the art. Cory Van Lew has been a staple artist since entering the space in 2020, working in both physical and digital, we have watched their journey as they learn and develop under a microscope. Though, they have an impressive catalogue of work. I think their latest collection "Plain Sight" is a brilliant merging of old and new. It has that classic feel of Cory's original physicals, but the subtly in the flickers, and alternating frames, breathes a newfound life into the work. It's a digital that you could hang on your wall, and still feel the presence of a physical. A difficult feat I can assure you. A massive congratulations on the sell out. I fought hard for a few of the works, but unfortunately today wasn't a day to add new CVL to the vault. But I think it's important to celebrate these wins, and spread the message of the artists that have done everything to survive the mud of the bear, only to return with more captivating works. Works we are lucky to collect.

Picture it like a reflected pulse. When a signal is sent, it can only go so far before it has to return, and it will return. The lowest bottom, isn’t worth trying to catch the highest top, set goals, and settle. The window is small, but if you “make it” this cycle, make sure you actually realise it 😊

Skull Season Is now live for voting on The Memes Main Stage Throughout the process, I gained a deeper understanding of the mission, The Memes, and the network that fuels this movement. Something I have been fond of from a distance through 6529's mega threads since 2021, but never something I've been close to until I made the leap this week. I thought about how I wanted to share this work, and in doing so I decided I would take you into my process. The scraps, the conversation, and the moments of realisation, before I reached this final work is part of the message for me. It's how I feel I will reach the network in a way that matters beyond the paint. I’m putting the video together this week, aiming to release it not long after.
