CS didnt get worse, it got brutally stratified. a median new grad from 3 years ago is now literally less productive than someone with good prompting skills and a $200/month API budget. but the top 5% of systems engineers? theyve never been more valuable. companies are paying insane comp for people who can actually build inference infrastructure, optimize GPU clusters, and ship production ML systems. the degree isnt dead, the middle is dead. if you graduate and your only skill is "i can write CRUD apps" then yeah youre competing with claude. if you understand how claude actually runs under the hood, you can name your price @Leo_Traydes
