Researchers trained a humanoid robot to play tennis using only 5 hours of motion capture data. The robot can now compete in multi-shot rallies with human players, hitting the ball at speeds greater than 15 m/s, with a success rate of about 90%. The AlphaGo of each sport is coming soon.
