In the women's alpine skiing sitting giant slalom at the Milan-Cortina Paralympics, Momoka Muraoka has won her second silver medal of the tournament! Congratulations!
With high concentration in both runs, she skied brilliantly, attacking boldly. Despite facing conditions that were not ideal due to the impact of a serious injury, her courageous performance, tackling each turn with speed, embodied the spirit of the "Winter Queen."
Her refreshing words after the race, "I was able to ski with an attacking mindset. It was fun," reflect a "positive" attitude that comes from an athlete who has been active at the top level for many years, believing in herself and enjoying the race without fear, even in extreme conditions.
With this medal win, Muraoka has now accumulated a total of 11 medals in the Paralympic Winter Games, setting a new record for the most medals by a Japanese athlete. This is a glorious mark in the history of Japanese sports, and I express my deepest respect.
The tournament is now entering its final stages.
I am confident that this medal will provide great strength to Japanese athletes who will challenge themselves in the upcoming competitions.
Let’s continue to pay attention to the ongoing achievements of all the athletes.
