The white guy probably could have taken at least two, looking at him. A random fact about hood people is that - except for people with a gang or military background, who tend to be pretty honorable - they can't usually fight for shit. They're not MMA guys, boxers, real shooters, ex-varsity men, etc...even in the way bikers in bars are. That's why there are always ten of them.

There's probably a general predator/prey rule here, actually. We think of predators as brave, because humans - particularly men - tend to associate "predator" with "cool animal." But actual bravery in nature invariably comes from tough prey: bull elk or stallions or whatever fighting off ten wolves. The wolves, themselves, will ~universally sneak as close as possible and then attack your weakest person in a group. Their goal is food, not fighting.
