Obviously it was nonfiction, but I think the notion that LLMs won’t be able to generate books people will like is false today and will be laughable in the future.

The smarminess seems pretty unwarranted from someone who fell so hard for NFTs and the Metaverse but I am sincerely curious: how many LLM-generated books have you have paid money for, read in full, and enjoyed?
I’m not saying it can write as well as Hemingway or McCarthy or whoever, but neither can the vast majority of authors
