The Eon Systems team connected the FlyWire fruit fly brain connectome to a simple LIF neuron model, then drove the fruit fly body in MuJoCo for physical simulation. The results are quite astonishing— In closed-loop behavior tests, the accuracy reached 91%. What does this mean? A very shocking conclusion is being validated: The brain's connection structure itself encodes the vast majority of behavioral information. In other words— If the connectome is complete, many behaviors are actually already written in it.
