The @CFTC’s authority over a broad definition of the term “commodity” has been upheld repeatedly in the federal courts. The Commission has the responsibility to defend its exclusive jurisdiction over commodity derivatives and we’ll continue to assess litigation strategies to make sure the agency’s voice is heard.
