Obv it will be stupid and wasteful if Hegseth destroys Anthropic as a company. This said, there *is* supply chain risk in AIs unwilling to pursue some military goals. If AI is in the supply chain, it's being used for intelligence and decision-making. We're not talking about ball bearings, this is a whole new thing. Norms are being set now, it shouldn't be surprising that the military is negotiating hard to prevent products from developing in a direction that will make them less maximally useful to them.
