Netanyahu is one of Israel’s most skilled communicators. So ask yourself: why has he barely spoken? No press conferences. No interviews since the one with @seanhannity on Monday. Since then — silence. There are two reasons. First, he wants to avoid the perception that Israel is pushing the US to keep the war going. That narrative is dangerous. The Hannity interview was largely about neutralizing it. Second, he knows that speaking too much right now risks friction with Trump. A public fight over credit helps no one. The more Trump feels he is leading and setting the pace, the longer the campaign is likely to continue. Anything that complicates that dynamic only works against Israel’s interests.
