The recent conflict between Israel and Palestine has made me reevaluate the AI era and the trust crisis brought about by information overload. What is most frightening in the AI era is not just the increasing amount of fake content. Rather, it is: Under real videos, a group of people claims they are AI-generated; Under AI-generated videos, another group of people firmly believes they are real. When the cost of forgery approaches zero, and information explodes, the truth does not disappear; it simply starts to lose to the narrative. The real crisis is not fake news, but the collapse of trust.
