I was a believer in the dalio-esque thesis of the changing world order, that power is moving to the east. New information changed that. I’m bullish on the west. Specifically America. Not Europe. The east (BRICS, for example) doesn’t seem to be able to form a strong enough bloc to counter the current hegemony. China — abandoned Venezuela, now Iran. India — blessed with population, which is going to turn into a curse because of AI (read population curse) Russia — stuck in a war with a tiny nation state for years. While I do believe in the cycles of civilisation, America currently has everything right going for it, thanks to its technology and military complex.
