How does GOAT Network’s x402 implementation differ from Coinbase’s? - Anon
x402 isn’t “Coinbase vs. GOAT”.
It’s an open HTTP payment standard: a client pays per request, and the server verifies payment before serving.
Coinbase helped operationalize x402 with spec work, SDKs, and a hosted facilitator that makes API paywalls easy to ship.
GOAT Network uses the same x402 interface, but extends the design goal: cross-chain agent payments settling into a Bitcoin-secured environment, with agent-level identity via ERC-8004.
