Please don’t use ChatGPT

I actually recorded this video a week ago but wasn’t sure about posting it because I have a close friend working at OpenAI and honestly was worried about damaging our relationship. I decided to just check in with them and they were understanding. I say this because the point here isn’t that ChatGPT or OpenAI are evil. I just think it’s an inferior product right now because of how sycophantic it is relative to other AI and I thought it was important for you to know. As I mentioned my personal favorite is Claude. It find it to have the right combination of intelligence, clarity, and honesty - but I experiment with the other ones on occasion. The space is moving incredibly quickly, with new updates being pushed out every day. Since I made this video a week ago there have already been developments, including conflicts between Claude and the US government and announcements of the Department of War working with OpenAI and such. I may comment on those developments but they don’t really change their original thesis in my video. For the average user it’s important for you to use AI that is not sycophantic and right now ChatGPT is just not that, even when given custom instructions. I do hope that they make the changes needed to make the product what it needs to be - they were the OG. Claude just published an important feature that makes it easy to import and migrate from ChatGPT to Claude so if you google Claude import you should be able to find it.
