Today, for the first time, I truly realized why I like Ordinals so much. No, not for the reasons you might think. Permanence, provenance, mother chain, immutability.. These words mean nothing to me., It’s because they refuse to die despite all odds. It’s the fact that everyone outside our problematic little family doesn’t like them that draws me closer to them. The fact that NFT holders, whether Solana or ETH, look down on them. The fact that big marketplaces don’t want to trade them. The fact that “influencers” from other networks fud them and those who like them. The fact that certain devs, miners, and node runners want to filter them out, want to completely get rid of them. That’s not happening, but still. I realized today that Ordinals, to me, are this freak of nature that shouldn’t exist in the first place, yet somehow have the godlike willpower to stay alive. There is something strangely beautiful about a thing that survives constant pressure. A thing that nobody agrees on. A thing that does not ask for permission. I like Ordinals because they are beautiful.
