Most of crypto has focused on trading, speculation, and yield. DeFi built liquidity layers. Stablecoins scaled as settlement assets. RWAs introduced real-world cash flows onchain. But these components often operate separately rather than as one coordinated system. This is where PayFi fits. PayFi connects yield, stablecoins, settlement rails, and access layers into usable financial flows. It bridges capital formation and capital usage, allowing earning, holding, and spending to exist within the same programmable environment. As crypto matures, utility and settlement will matter more than isolated protocols.
