A founder's perspective on how to manage upwards with leadership: 1. Avoid: Trying to get emotional value from your boss. 2. Just like why Openclaw is impressive, being able to provide proactive insights beyond your responsibilities is what surprises your boss the most. 3. Just like managing Openclaw, always remember the bottom line and boundaries; be familiar with what the team's defined skills are and what the no-go areas are. 4. Don't care too much, or at least don't show that you care about your positioning and power scope. Power is earned through ability and performance; those who can do more will take on more work. Only by performing well will you earn the respect of your colleagues; power that is forcefully given by the boss will eventually be taken back. 5. Be direct about what you need, provide clear guidance, and tell your boss what you need him to help you with and what to push forward. Instead of complaining to him or explaining the problems you face, if you don't have a solution yourself, don't expect others to help you solve it.
