As nations become more like corporations post AI, then you would expect similar power law distribution dynamics occurring.
For example in technologically driven free market capitalism we see wealth and reach accumulate to a select corporation within each industry, a small number of alternative mid sized corporations, and then infinite small corporations on the long-tail.
YouTube > Dailymotion > infinite small media channels and content creators
Amazon > eBay > long tail of infinite small retailers
So what you may see is 1-2 AI superstates that dominates, a small number of medium states, and then a lot of long tail micro-states orbiting larger systems.
The AI superstate would resemble something like a Roman Empire but AI native.
The mid sized state would resemble todays strong regional powers (they cant dominate globally but they have enough network effects and differentiation to make them regionally dominant).
The micro states would look very similar to Singapore or the UAE, they would cater to niche audiences/markets and often build within the stack of one of the AI superstates to maintain security.
