Indian filmmaker Karan Johar’s new movie is already getting some Oscar buzz. Inspired by a New York Times essay, the film tells the story of two childhood friends in rural India whose dreams collapse during the pandemic. Shanelle Kaul caught up with the people behind the film in Mumbai, India.
