🖼️ 24 HOURS OF ART 📊 September 18, 2025 🛩️ Jack Wars It turns out all 500 seconds were not needed. ‘Gas Wars’ 1/1/500 by @jackbutcher, the penultimate @artblocks_io Curated collection, sells out in a multi-minute flurry predicated upon Ethereum gas decisions. An active secondary market takes over, seeing 150 ETH in total volume thus far. ‘Gas Wars #17’, the generative aircraft to be shot down with the least bullets, is high sale at 1.5 WETH to @balon_art. The overall collection now sits with 320 unique owners and a lowest list of 0.3472 ETH. ‘Simulation #0’ by Jack Butcher, the artist proof of the collection and only clean aircraft, simultaneously closes in auction, selling for 11.11 ETH to @moonshotcox. @0xRodo reflects on the competitive minting environment: “Haven't had so much fun minting since the early Art Blocks days… The minting experience is just as much part of the art as the token itself.” It was not all sunshine and roses, as many bemoaned lost gas wars. However, for those who tried and failed? All is not lost. In the words of Jack Butcher: “thanks for playing. for all recorded failed transactions, standby for phase 3.” 📰 From The Culture Sam Spratt Puzzle Solved: “It took over 2 years, but The Key that I hid scattered across The Monument Game has been found” says @SamSpratt. Puzzle solver @0xHyla receives the gift of a 1/1 Monument Game origin drawing and an associated letter from the artist. It seems Hyla has more to look forward to. Closing the letter: “More awaits The Key. As its keeper, its gate will open in Chapter 7.” LoVid Theory: Interdisciplinary artist duo @lovidlovid - Tali Hinkis and Kyle Lapidus - announce representation with Picture Theory Gallery in NYC.
