Hackathon

The project must be deployed on the X Layer Testnet during the Hackathon and subsequently launched on the X Layer Mainnet.

Projects must generate at least USD 10,000,000 in cumulative trading volume by August 31, 2026, at 23:59 (UTC+8). Only transactions executed through the OKX DEX interface will count toward this trading-volume requirement; transactions executed via the OKX DEX API will be excluded.A grant of 50,000 USDT will be unlocked for every full USD 10,000,000 in trading volume, up to a maximum of 200,000 USDT per project.
The official data snapshot will be taken on September 1, 2026, and the data will be reviewed by the anti-fraud team. Projects found to have engaged in wash trading, volume manipulation, or other fraudulent activity will be disqualified from receiving the Launch Grant.

The Liquidity Grant is available to projects competing in the AI-RWA track. The Organizer will evaluate projects based on their overall performance during the Hackathon, including product quality, innovation, user value, and contribution to the ecosystem. The best-performing project will receive the grant. The grant must be used to support the winning project’s growth and further develop the X Layer ecosystem.

1. No Investment Solicitation. The Hackathon does not constitute an offer, recommendation, or solicitation to buy, sell, or otherwise transact in any digital asset or security. It is not intended to provide investment, trading, accounting, legal, tax, or other advice. The Hackathon is not available to any person or entity where such distribution, access, or participation would violate applicable laws or regulations. Participants are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable restrictions. Digital assets are speculative, highly volatile, and may become illiquid. Anyone trading digital assets may lose the entire value of their assets.

2. Digital Asset Volatility. The value of digital assets, including stablecoins, may fluctuate significantly. The value of a prize when a participant is confirmed as a winner may differ materially from its value when distributed. The Organizer makes no representation or warranty regarding the value of any prize at any time.

3. No Endorsement. Selection as a winner or finalist does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by the Organizer or its partners regarding the project, participant, or any related product or service.

4. Final Determination. The Organizer will consider onchain data, code quality, innovation, and market potential. Final rankings will be determined at the Organizer’s sole discretion.

1. Organizer and Acceptance of Terms. AI Season (the “Hackathon”) is organized by X Layer (the “Organizer”). Any individual or legal entity that registers for or participates in the Hackathon (a “Participant”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.

2. Hackathon Period. The Hackathon runs from August 7, 2026, until August 21, 2026, at 23:59 UTC (the “Hackathon Period”). The Organizer reserves the right to extend, shorten, or otherwise modify the Hackathon Period.

3. Eligibility. The Hackathon is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old or have reached the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher, as well as eligible legal entities. Restricted Persons, as defined in the X Layer Terms of Service, are not eligible. The Organizer may verify eligibility and require identity verification or KYC checks before awarding prizes.

4. Judging. Projects will be evaluated based on their application of AI, innovation, product completeness, user value, integration with X Layer, growth potential, and contribution to the X Layer ecosystem. The Organizer’s decisions regarding eligibility, judging results, and winners are final.

5. Prizes and Distribution. Prize categories and amounts are described on the Hackathon webpage. Digital asset prizes will be sent to the winners’ designated wallet addresses after the Hackathon and completion of all applicable verification procedures.

6. Wallets. Prizes will only be sent to self-custodial wallet addresses designated by Participants. The Organizer will never hold or control a Participant’s private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials. Participants are solely responsible for the security of their wallets.

7. Sanctions Screening. Participants and their designated prize-receiving wallet addresses may be screened against applicable sanctions lists, including those maintained by OFAC, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United Nations. The Organizer will not distribute prizes to sanctioned Participants or associated wallet addresses and may withhold or cancel such prizes without compensation.

8. Intellectual Property. Participants retain ownership of their submissions. By submitting a project, each Participant grants the Organizer a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, and reference the submission for the operation, judging, promotion, and reporting of the Hackathon. Participants represent that they hold all rights required for their submissions and that their submissions do not infringe any third-party rights.

9. Abuse and Disqualification. The Organizer may exclude or disqualify any Participant or submission reasonably suspected of dishonest or abusive conduct, including plagiarism, unauthorized use of code, wash trading, volume manipulation, fraud, or other illegal or harmful activity. Disqualified Participants and associated wallet addresses may also be prohibited from joining future events organized by the Organizer.

10. Taxes and Expenses. All prizes are stated and paid on a pre-tax basis. Participants are solely responsible for any taxes, withholdings, fees, costs, and expenses arising from receiving or using a prize, including service, gas, and transaction fees. Participants agree to provide information reasonably required for legally mandated tax reporting.

11. Additional Terms. Participation is also subject to the X Layer Terms of Service, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. If these Terms conflict with the X Layer Terms of Service or other Hackathon materials issued by the Organizer, these Terms will prevail.

12. Modification Rights. The Organizer may interpret, modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate any part of the Hackathon or these Terms at any time. The Organizer has sole discretion regarding the interpretation and application of these Terms.

13. Language. If these Terms are provided in multiple languages, the English version will prevail in the event of a conflict.

14. Errors and Omissions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizer disclaims liability arising from technical, graphical, typographical, editorial, or other errors or omissions in the Hackathon webpage, promotional materials, or these Terms.
