AMUN #1
Amun is one of the most important deities in ancient Egyptian mythology, primarily worshipped as a god of creation, the sun, and air. Often depicted as a man with a ram’s head or as a ram itself, Amun is a member of the Ogdoad, a group of primordial deities associated with creation. Over time, Amun rose to prominence and became the chief god of Thebes, eventually merging with the sun god Ra to become Amun-Ra, the supreme god of the Egyptian pantheon. As Amun-Ra, he was seen as the creator of the world and the giver of life, symbolizing both the visible and hidden aspects of the divine. He was often associated with the hidden, mysterious force behind creation and existence. His worship reached its peak during the New Kingdom, where he was revered as the king of the gods, and his priests held significant power in Egyptian society.
