Rod of Portals #9

With the intention of reinforcing His divine influence on Earth, God chose to bestow some of His powers upon a select few mortals known for their purity of heart. Among them were Moses and Buddha. Upon receiving a portion of God's power and understanding His grand design, Moses extended his right arm with an open palm by his side. The earth trembled beneath him, and a storm brewed overhead in the sky. Metals such as copper, iron, and gold, deposited within the stones, surged upward in a swirling vortex. After a moment of focused concentration, Moses gazed skyward, and a single lightning bolt struck the ascending minerals. He closed his outstretched hand, revealing his newly formed weapon, the Rod of Portals. True to its name, the Rod of Portals empowers its wielder to create gateways for travel between locations when used defensively. When wielded against demonic forces, however, the Rod of Portals opens only one destination: Hell.
