This might be the most fun interview that I’ve ever done. And even the way the interview came about was crazy. A couple months back I did a long form post on here about the difficulties of a token launch correctly, and Jin reached out to me with a cold DM saying he was putting together a TGE bible that he’d love for me to contribute to. We got on a call and it was clear that we had so much more to talk about, so he mentioned that he has a podcast he records, and he’d love for me to get on it. This must have been back in something like April? Well, we were able to coordinate meeting up in Dubai (a place neither of us live) at a recording studio that he booked while I was out there for a trip recently, and it turned into what I believe was a three hour conversation discussing a variety of topics, including how my time in the world of hip hop really molded how I view things. He’s built mobile games, led backend teams, and launched a privacy-focused ZK consultancy – before landing at Miden to help engineer the edge blockchain. As Engineering Manager, he’s focused on coordination across protocol, node, and client. He’s designing new architecture for scalability and privacy – and reviewing lots of high-quality PRs along the way. Outside of work? Meet the Team: 𝐆𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐝 (Product Marketing) Gaylord’s background cuts across engineering, traditional finance and zero-knowledge. He started out in Tokyo at places like Société Générale and MUFG before falling down the ZK rabbithole and joining Miden – after spending a couple of years working with @__zkhack__. He leads product marketing, which means explaining what we’re building, why it matters, and who it’s for. From messaging and social to working with Pioneers, he helps connect the protocol to the people building on it. Outside of work he’s into sports like footbal, rugby or cycling, and occasionally busts out violin solos – sometimes even for AI-generated songs about Miden 🎻
