More frequent batch posts to the L1 = faster, secure confirmations. Faster, secure confirmations =
1. More efficient use of liquidity due to reduced risk exposure window --> more volume bridged at a single time at (potentially) lower prices.
2. Faster withdrawal times to the L1 (particularly for ZK rollups, optimistic rollups with fast withdrawals enabled, or multi-proof rollups).
3. Faster withdrawal times into centralized exchanges --> faster fiat offramping .
4. Faster native (non-liquidity) bridge times between L2s.
This is the same way Espresso works --> Rollups post to Espresso to get fast, secure confirmations and thus get all the above benefits, regardless of L1 gas prices.

0.31 gwei basefee is crazy. rollups should consider taking this opportunity to post data and proofs more often to offer a better ux to their users, especially @zksync @Starknet @LineaBuild @Scroll_ZKP @inkonchain @soneium @modenetwork

Day 1/5 ~ Unpacking Confirmations
In a modular world, confirmation isn’t just finality.
It’s the moment your app decides something’s safe enough to act on - whether that’s showing a balance, sending a message, or kicking off cross-chain logic.
And how you define that, on each chain, directly shapes your UX and security.
→ Wait too long? UX drags.
→ Go too early? You risk re-orgs, broken logic, even lost funds.
as apps go interop by default, getting this right becomes critical.
~ * different chains, latencies, and security models all collide, and apps need to decide when to move.

"Sharpening"--I love it.

"I think that’s the challenge in this space. The tides shift quickly. You have to stay grounded in your vision but flexible enough to adapt. People call it pivoting. I think of it more like sharpening—bringing the idea into focus as the world evolves around it.."

Followup: what is the best model I can run locally on my Mac with 1 TB storage and 32 GB RAM? I'd like reasonable latency, and I won't be using it for deep research or coding.

what is the best ai model that you can access without internet (i.e., locally)?

I very much enjoyed recording this. Deeply Intents is a wonderful podcast, and I appreciate the hard work @apriori0x did to edit out all of my filler words, because there were a lot.
