Launchpads have been a huge topic for the past 6 months, especially since BONK flipped PUMP and then recently, Kaito added their Capital Launchpads as well I missed it, but Metaplex also announced their own version of launching tokens (no, not a launchpad lol) and it's cool asf For those of you that don't know, Metaplex's tech is how basically every onchain thing that you use on Solana, from NFTs to tokens, exists So projects can use Genesis instead of it being their OWN launchpad, they give others the option to add their tech to theirs So, BONK/PUMP/Believe/Random Protocol could integrate Metaplex tech and launch their token in specific ways with it, like: - Vesting contracts - Geo-blocking/wallet-gating - Priced caps/allowlists - Launch pools with anti-sniping So the main differences from Believe/BONK/PUMP are: - Tech stack can be hosted/integrated anywhere with permission - Used for more official launches that need presales/vesting/etc - 50% of rev goes to MPLX buybacks If you're a "serious" company looking to launch a token, using their stack to launch a token (even on your own site) could be a good move to avoid snipers/bundling/bad vibes (this tweet is powered by Metaplex)
