Solvers as aggregators of onchain liquidity was always a race to zero. For solvers to be profitable they need to monetise:
- access to inventory
- better pricing and/or alpha
- exclusive order flow (building a venue)
Natural progression of the marketplace towards specialisation. Solver == MM.

interesting strategy:
1. hold stables on tier 2/3 exchanges with bids placed low on ETH, BTC etc
2. wait for big move in a relatively illiquid book
3. profit ?
Can think of a few times in history where this would have paid off. Wonder what the EV of this strategy would be over multi-year period considering custody risk etc
