just got my grade 12th board exam re-evaluated result.
not to sound salty about some stupid marks, but i seriously can’t believe how broken the education system is if india’s largest education board can’t even assess answer sheets fairly. they ask for money just for us to receive photocopies, to get them re-evaluated, and to get them re-rechecked -- and still, they often don’t award marks fairly.
in physics, i deserved at least +4, but only got +1. in yoga, i was expecting +3, but apparently, there are “no mistakes” in the evaluation.
and this isn’t even new. two years ago, the same story happened. i was given just 50/80 in science. i had to request photocopies, manually inspect how the checker evaluated each question, and pay to get my marks increased to 69/80 (+19 marks). even then, i had originally asked for (and deserved) 75/80 (+25 marks). the whole process took around 4 months and was an unnecessary waste of time and mental energy.
for me, 12th marks don’t really matter. but it’s absurd how unfair and inconsistent board checking is, given how much importance it’s often given. only some students like me, who can afford to pay for photocopies and re-evaluation, ever find out. good job @cbseindia29.
