Every millennial DTC brand had design like the one on the left. They wanted to be cute and friendly. But I actually prefer the branding on the right for so many products. Established, tested, clinical. It’s funny how the cute millennial style is basic now.

A bunch of my friends are in private membership groups for CEOs. I used to think these groups weren’t worth it but I’ve completely changed my mind. It’s hard to get advice from other operators who have built companies. In my Hampton group we talk about strategy, capital allocation, dealing with difficult decisions and making key tradeoffs at all of our firms. I've also learned about new software tools and vendors that have added value. It’s been great for me and I appreciate Sam for building this.

Dog most of the stuff on twitter seems exciting and cool and jumping project to project. But I'm telling you. I've seen it. Most of the big shit ballers...they just sit in front of a computer and do meetings, calls etc 40 hours a week and do it for like 15 years minimum...and they mostly do it for 1 business they have. Yes, there are exceptions. But most fall into this bucket. The life you want is most likely on the other end of doing boring, consistent shit for a decade plus.

It should be illegal for parents to exploit their children on social media. Seems abusive and kids should have a say in being forced to work at a young age.

What's been your favorite "escape the cold winter weather" vacay destination? My fav was 2 weeks in Oahu in Hawaii - just a bit too far from where i live now. Am already looking into destinations to escape the east coast winter for a couple of weeks!

Does anyone have any data on this: The faster a company grows, the less likely is it to have longevity? My gut tells me things that things that grow slower also die slower. I can think of many examples where I’m right and wrong. But curious if there’s any real data.
