I think it will take 2-3 years for people to recognize the genius of the strategy team at Coinbase
They are making a huge push to onboard coinbase-wrapped BTC, XRP, Doge, Sol, ADA, local stablecoins, etc.
Now that stablecoins are legal, there will be a huge amount of onchain USD available to buy assets onchain.

Jack had a massive impact on the grants council and will be sorely missed. He helped pioneer the audit grants, RFPs, and had an unwaveringly high standard for grant applicants.
I am running for Grants Council again this season and hope to carry this pursuit of quality forward

I won't be running for the @Optimism Grants Council this coming season. Will just be too busy with @VelodromeFi and @AerodromeFi. Huge things ahead, and I need to direct all my energy there.
Feels a little sentimental. My work with Optimism – including my lobbying for the GC's creation – has been career-defining for my anon life. It's where I got my public voice and met some of my closest friends in the space.
The Grant Council has worked hard and been effective with the tools and objectives it's been given, especially this past season. I'll be observing the Foundation's treatment of the Grant Council going forward to see whether I'll run again in the future.
And I'll of course be continuing to act as a delegate and will keep close attention to things. After all, it's Velodrome's job to make Optimism win.

This means that @ImperiumPaper probably just saved Optimism $40million USD next year at current prices.
It will still have 20 million OP to work with which is very chunky and allows more refinement to the metrics-based approach that Retrofunding has been using for the last year.
