I think founders love 3 types of investors: 1) First Check 2) Largest Check 3) Most Helpful Check And #3 is where most VCs focus ('value add'), thus the most competitive and most difficult to stand out. As a VC, I would focus on #1 or #2 and do your best at #3.

Always leave room to experiment. Sometimes the side quest becomes your main quest. This is true for both Founders AND VCs.

“Play long terms games with long term people” - @naval I love the @boostvc team. The support they have given me, no matter the situation, is so strong and rare. The @boostvc team invested in my first crypto company in 2014. They were the first check. I lived in their dorms in San Mateo for 2 years. And then they were the first check in my AI company in 2016 (the crypto company was too ahead of its time). Then @BraytonKey joined our board. Then I advised their last fund. Then @AdamDraper and @BraytonKey massively supported $YNE and @yesnoerror (and still do today). And most recently @benparr and I have co-invested with @boostvc on three early stage deals! (We brought them one deal and they brought us two). I will work with ya’ll until I die!
