1000 TPS is HERE!!
With the Bhilai hardfork on mainnet, the first milestone to gigagas has been achieved: Polygon PoS is already getting up to 1000+ TPS in production!!
Block gas limits have increased from 30M to 45M, increasing throughput by FIFTY PERCENT CAPACITY.
Today’s hardfork accelerates capacity, allowing money flow on Polygon to move even faster, and support the next wave of onchain payments and RWAs. It also enables significant improvement for account abstraction via Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade, EIP-7702.
All of this accelerates velocity for stablecoins and payments on Polygon, with $2.6B+ stables deployed onchain and $1.7B+ in monthly transfers across 2.5M addresses.
There’s already a huge demand with major institutional integrations from @stripe, @nexo, @reliancejio, @blindpaylabs, but this upgrade will help scale for the next wave of adoption opening the doors to even more institutions laying down TradFi infra on Polygon rails.
Next up on the roadmap is Heimdall v2 migration to mainnet. Onward!

Polygon’s gigagas roadmap continues! 🚢
First milestones for Polygon PoS: 1,000 TPS + ~5 second transaction finality
This will be achieved with two upgrades on Polygon PoS, Bhilai hardfork (for TPS) + Heimdall v.2 upgrade (for finality)
• Bhilai is live on Amoy testnet already! (targetting mainnet July 1)
• Heimdall v.2 is live on Amoy testnet TODAY!! (targeting mainnet July 10)
Heimdall modernizes core infra on PoS for faster sync & better external data handling
Polygon PoS is getting leaner, faster, and more efficient with each upgrade. Scaling transactions without compromising security.

As promised, we are going to BRING IT with incredible shipping speed.
I am happy to announce that @Agglayer v0.3 is live now.
What does this new launch enable? Until today, only Agglayer-CDK chains could connect. This release expands the pessimistic proof, breaking down the walls for ANY NON-CDK CHAIN to securely connect to Agglayer, starting with Polygon PoS.
CDK chains like @Katana, will be the first ones to use the new mode for pessimistic proof. By the end of Q3, it will extend support for more chains to connect, like Polygon PoS, and you will see how everything comes together.
Follow me for more announcements before the next major Agglayer release (v0.4) that will bring sub 10-second secure crosschain transactions.
This brings us one step closer towards fast interop. I will not stop until we aggregate everything!!!

Katana mainnet launches in just 7 days on June 30.

Why novel? 👇
They focus on two things: deep liquidity and attractive yield.
The VaultBridge mechanism represents an interesting approach to use @MorphoLabs vaults, generating yield during cross-chain transfers. No idle capital sitting in bridge contracts.
@katana has an opinionated approach to having only one lending protocol (Morpho), one spot DEX (Sushi), one perp DEX (Vertex) with limited variations of blue chip assets, liquidity is deep and concentrated.
There's also the key yield-bearing stablecoin Agora AUSD, good job @Nick_van_Eck.
The integration positions Katana as Agglayer's dedicated liquidity hub. Users across 8 connected chains can seamlessly tap into Katana's concentrated DeFi services without traditional bridging friction.
Katana has recently hit $130M TVL pre-mainnet. The 55% stablecoin APRs look attractive, fingers crossed they'll keep on cooking post mainnet launch.
