people keep asking me: "what are people using x402 for? isn't it all fake? isn't it all memes?" so i built a table tracking the real daily activity for every x402 server we have labeled. it includes real txn counts, volume, # of buyers, avg txn size, etc. i want this table to make it easier to identify the legitimate projects utilizing x402 payments, so here are a few that haven't had any gamed txns in the past few weeks: @dexteraisol → twitter analysis, deep research, a code interpreter, video generation via sora, and more x402-secure (@t54ai) → a risk control layer that validates x402 payments before they execute, adding fraud protection through their trustline network @BlockRunAI → pay-per-request access to frontier AI models (gpt-5.2, claude 4, gemini 2.5) via automatic USDC micropayments. no api keys, no subscriptions these are real use cases. the next step is tying each txn back to its respective resource -- how much of the x402 activity is going towards compute? data? api calls? storage? right now, that's not exactly straightforward so there's more work to be done, but i think this is a step in the right direction... we can't expect to build real infra without knowing what's real agentic commerce is coming.
