The R2 multi-link rear suspension includes 5 stamped steel links and uses an isolated rear subframe to deliver incredible ride quality and handling, while achieving our optimized cost structure. Our "starfish" forged aluminum rear knuckle integrates bushings for each of the 5 rear suspension links to reduce unsprung mass to support enhanced ride quality. Can’t wait for folks to get to drive R2 — it’s sooo good!!

We are focused on building our service network — we didn’t have enough capacity in some markets initially but are rapidly catching up! We have 77 Service Centers now and are growing this to 100 by the end of the year. More than half of our service is performed by our mobile service team — we currently have 550 Mobile Service Vehicles which will be growing to as many as 1000 by the end of year, with our goal to have more than 70% of our service done with mobile.

I love the packaging on Maximus — the drive unit for R2. It has a side mounted inverter that utilizes flat area at the end of the motor to minimize the length of bus bars, keeping them light and efficient. The large planar shape also allows all processing and power electronics to exist on a single printed circuit board.   The inverter chassis closes out the oil cooled motor cavity and seamlessly routes coolant from the power modules to the drive unit’s heat exchanger with no extra parts.   Overall, the inverter part count is reduced by 41% relative to Enduro and structural inverter lid saves more parts and fasteners by also serving as the drive unit mount. I love this design efficiency. ❤️
