A comparison I haven't seen elsewhere: U.S. data center electricity in 2024: ~184 TWh U.S. EV charging in 2024: ~12 TWh Data center load is 15x EV charging right now. Under reference projections, EVs don't catch up nationally until the mid-2030s, and in VA, TX, OR, maybe never.
