Made my largest ever donation to @ComfortZoneCamp recently - meaningful for me. It was around when $IREN bottomed and I'm glad it went to charity rather than more shares - as much as I believe in $IREN there are more important things. This is an anonymous account - not seeking praise. I could delete this account and the world wouldn't know the difference. I'm posting this for two reasons: (1) I made the donation because I've been inspired by what @Travis_Kling is doing with @Thingshiddenio. I've followed Travis for years (and am deeply grateful for all of his content on $BTC, crypto, and now Things Hidden), and he's recently had a huge impact on my faith with Things Hidden - it's the most comprehensive and logic-driven exploration of Christian apologetics I've come across, and this is an area I've been passionate about for years, though I fell away for a long time and have come back through Things Hidden. For ~2,000 years the Christian church has splintered and fought over details. Not everyone will agree with every detail of his views, but I'm confident anyone that takes the time to work through even a handful of the episodes will come away with two conclusions: (i) Travis has been incredibly thoughtful and is leaving it all on the field (and in any domain that level of effort is commendable and by itself worthy of consideration), and (ii) his arguments are compelling and if even half of them are true, of infinite importance. (2) I believe deeply in what @ComfortZoneCamp does. In short, they provide free camps for kids who have lost a loved one. The purpose is simple: create a bubble at a free weekend camp so grieving children can just be kids for a weekend, while also connecting with other kids who have experienced similar loss so they don't feel alone. I've helped there in the past (not as much as I should have) and will do more in the future - I only say this because I'm a deeply skeptical person and anytime I hear "kids camp", I'd worry (a) if the money's actually going to kids, and (b) if the kids are safe. All I can say for (a) and (b) is having helped there in the past, the background checks are thorough and the camps live up to their purpose: grieving kids can just be kids and get a lot of free professional support (beyond just the volunteers) throughout the weekend. Even one of those things can make a massive difference for a grieving child - both can be life-changing. I don't know of a better place to donate a dollar. I've posted a lot about $IREN and $CIFR with this account - it's just a trade journal. But I'd encourage anyone reading this to check out @Thingshiddenio or donate to @ComfortZoneCamp - some things mean more than trades.
