The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed to AFP that they are conducting operations to “contain a coup” in the West African nation of Benin, with fighter jets - likely JF-17s - carrying out targeted strikes against military leaders and soldiers supporting the coup, in line with the “mandate and protocols” of ECOWAS and the ECOWAS Standby Force (ESF).
