writing is interesting at first I thought writing was useful to clarify your own thinking but the problem is we humans are too easily fooled by our own imagined arguments. You write about something long enough and you start believing it, even if it's wrong. the only real test for any idea is a product in the market. That's it. You think something will work -> you put it out there -> you very quickly find out if it does because unlike your easily fooled brain, customers can't be easily fooled. PG has a great essay about this (2nd tweet) TLDR: if you're a serious builder, writing is a waste of time. VCs do it because they by defn can't build anything. You're not a VC.

one unfortunate realization I'm having recently is almost everything people tell you helps you be a better founder -- actually doesn't reading more doesn't nor does writing more nor does meeting people honestly anything that isn't either a) going deep into a problem or b) learning tech is give or take, unfortunately, a waste of time
